Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJACQUES ERNEST TREMBLAY January 17, 1929 - May 22, 2018 With sadness we announce the passing of Jack Tremblay, at the age of 89, surrounded with the love of his family. Jacques "Jack" Tremblay was one of those chaps that loved to talk. He had a gift for starting up a conversation with anyone, be they neighbour, store clerk or stranger. He loved to talk about family and where you grew up and who you knew. His life was filled with sports, dogs and of course a big family. One of his cherished achievements was the winning of a national championship hunting dog award with his beloved lab Pride. Jack worked in the postal system for most of his career, between Winnipeg and Brandon. He settled down in Winnipeg with wife Shirley, and they spent many summers fishing and enjoying the Manitoba lakes. During his youth Jack was involved in hockey and football in St. Boniface, where he also was involved with the local church, at an even younger age. He is survived by his beloved wife Shirley (nee Wright); five children, Ken (Kathy), Brian (Laura), Laurane (Laurie), Jim (Susan), Diane (Wayne) and nine beloved grandchildren, along with sister Ghislaine Perron and sister-in-law Alice Tremblay. A special thank you to Father Couture for helping Dad in his final days. In compliance with Dad's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. Cremation has taken place and a private interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. "He will be missed by all. Rest in Peace Jacques, you will be forever in our hearts." www.voyagefuneralhomes.com
