JOHN TOPOLNICKI At the age of 56, John Topolnicki of Winnipeg, passed away unexpectedly on May 19, 2018, due to complications with his pacemaker. John was predeceased by his wife Virginia (Ginny) Zubriski. John was beloved by many friends and family (The Zubriski Family) and countless acquaintances whom he met through his work in numerous trades. He could be found working on/supervising everything from home renovations to plumbing to auto mechanics to property management. A Jack of all trades, John always had some project on the go. In his spare time, John loved riding his Harley Davidson and four-wheelers, and visiting the family farm in Vidir, MB. John brought joy to those around him, always quick with a joke or ready with a story from the good ol' days. John always had wisdom to impart, having taken a keen interest in the world around him. He liked to chat about politics and believed the world would benefit from a return to simplicity. He was a good and loyal friend, always willing to lend a hand. He will be deeply missed by those blessed enough to have known and loved him. An intimate gathering/ viewing will be hosted by Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, on Saturday, May 26, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., after which he will be cremated and laid to rest alongside Ginny in Arborg, MB, in accordance with his wishes.

  • My wife Linda and I had the pleasure of meeting John six years ago and right from the beginning, he was nothing but nice to us. We spoke on a wide variety of topics that included politics and world views.I was always interested in his views and he always spoke truthfully which was refreshing.John was the manager/maintenance of the property we live in and was always on-call and almost immediately tended to any issues we had, which we very much appreciated. He went above and beyond his duty as far as we were concerned.John was nothing but super nice to us but also to our family.John usually had time for a Timmys or if he didn't he'd drop Timmys off and get back to work.Another thing I personally liked about chatting with John was we could just cuss our heads off.99% of the time, he showed up at our door with a smile. Wish we could have had more time John, you will be missed. Linda and I would like to offer our sincerest condolences to John's family and friends. - Posted by: Chris Thomas (Friend) on: May 26, 2018
