DORIS ANDRUSCO July 2, 1918 - December 4, 2017 Doris Andrusco (Bzowy) was born July 2, 1918 in Stuartburn, Manitoba, the fourth of eleven children of Petro and Agrypina Bzowy. She passed away quietly at home December 4, 2017 in her 99th year. Her family and friends were the singular focus of her life and the stories never stopped being told. She kept up with current affairs and was an avid reader of newspapers, magazines and advertisements. Her memory was astounding, particularly of prices from 1937 to the present, of numbers and of dates. She is survived by daughter Linda (Kelly Hartle) of Port Perry, ON; granddaughters, Kimberly (Todd Roy, great-grandchildren, Adam and Leah) of Toronto, ON, and Bonnie (Todd White, great-grandchildren, Lila and Xavier) of Stoney Creek, ON; daughter-in-law Velma Ko (grandson Justin Andrusco) of Toronto, ON; brothers, Paul Bzowy (John, Barbara and Gloria) of Tolstoi, MB, Nick Bzovy (Ruth Bzovy, niece Melissa) of Toronto, ON; sister Verna Klim (Valerie, Lorrie, Rory and Shannon), niece Vicky Gretchen and many more nieces, nephews, cousins and great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by husband Peter; son Ronn; daughter Wanda; brothers, John, Walter and Bill; and sisters, Mary, Annie, Olga and Jennie. Thank you to Dr. Robert G. McKellar for his dedicated care of 24 years and home visits for the past 11 years, nursing staff at Michael Garron Hospital, formerly known as East General Hospital, staff and volunteers at East York Meals on Wheels, and Home Care Providers with Community Care Access Centre. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, Winnipeg, MB. Final resting place is Garden of the Good Samaritan, Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, MB. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to "East York Meals on Wheels" or a charity of your choice.
