EUGENE KRUK Peacefully on June 6, 2018, Eugene, beloved husband of Vicky, passed away at Tudor House in Selkirk. Eugene was born on August 25, 1932 in Vita, Manitoba. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife of 61 years, Vicky, his four daughters, Doreen (Wayne), Val (Tom), Karen (Walter) and Cindy (Chris). He also leaves his cherished grandchildren, Nicholas, Matthew, Kyra and Adam. He was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Mary, and by his brothers, John and Bill, and sister Anne. Dad grew up on a farm in Vita. He went to work at a young age, working at various jobs in the Vita area. He met Vicky, they married in 1956 and moved to Winnipeg where Dad began driving a bus for Winnipeg Transit. He retired as a supervisor from Winnipeg Transit in 1990. Dad was an active member of Blessed Virgin Mary Church and was involved in many organizations within the church. Mom and Dad enjoyed travelling through the years and spending time with their children and grandchildren. Dad also loved fishing, camping, golfing and building and fixing things. He even built our first travel trailer. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated by Reverend Father V. Bashutskyy on Monday, June 11, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, 965 Boyd Avenue with interment to follow. We wish to thank the staff at Tudor House for their kind and compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church or the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba. VICHNAYA PAM'YAT Dad, we will miss you.

  • I worked with Gene at Transit for a number of years. He was a dedicated employee and an asset to the City. My sincere sympathy to you Vicky and the family. I'm glad I had a chance to speak to Gene a couple of years ago to catch up on news. Martin - Posted by: Martin Kaczkowski (Fellow Transit employee) on: Jun 09, 2018
