JACQUELYN MCMURRAY It is with deep sadness that we announce, Jacquelyn McMurray passed peacefully, surrounded by family, after a long, courageous battle with cancer on June 6, 2018. Jackie was born on October 6, 1958 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She is survived by her loving husband Randy; daughter Megan Funk (Michael) of Winnipeg, MB; daughter Erica Rowe; beloved grandson Lukas Rowe of Kamloops, BC; sister Michele of Winnipeg, MB; brothers, Bryan (Margaret) of Shingletown, California, Roland (Carolyn) of Prince George, BC, Patrick (Cathy) of Prince George, BC, Gene (Cheryl) of Langley, BC and Richard (Diana) of Calgary, AB, as well as many extended family members. She was predeceased by her mother Marjorie and father George. Jackie spent many years in Kamloops, BC, having moved from Winnipeg in 1980. She moved back to Winnipeg in the fall of 2011. She was a loving mother, wife, daughter, and granny, as well as a devoted friend to all that came to know her. Her enjoyments in life were family, music, ending her day with a bubble bath, and tending to her gardens, both vegetable and flower. Jackie's kind and caring nature permeated everything she did, and her absence will be forever felt. Her family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Marshall Pitz and staff at CancerCare Manitoba for their dedication, care, and concern over the past three and a half years. A celebration of Jackie's life will be held on Tuesday, June 12 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave. at Henderson Highway. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to CancerCare Manitoba. www.voyagefuneralhomes.com

So sorry for your loss Randy, Megan, Erica and family. Jackie will be forever missed. She was a wonderful aunt and most importantly, true friend to all she knew. I will forever be grateful for the memories and will forever hold a very special place in my heart for Auntie Jackie. Memories of dancing to Bert Kaempfert, David Bowie, Led Zeppelin (among others) will always be how I remember her. Laughing hysterically over the simplest things - and such a wonderful laugh she had!- will be etched in my memories. A funny memory of her trying to say “Real Whipped Cream” so many times one evening and it always coming out as “Weel Whipped Cweam” — and the amount we laughed over that! Still makes my stomach hurt thinking about It. Auntie loved to be with her family, and treated her nieces and nephews like they were her own. She ALWAYS made me feel special and never hesitated to tell you how much she “loooovvveeed” you, I will miss this. I will never forget you. Xoxoxo All my love, your loving niece, Lindy and kids Carson, Caitlyn and Keira. - Posted by: Lindy (Niece ) on: Jun 11, 2018
