MARY KONDRAT (née BILAWKA) September 17, 1924 - July 6, 2018 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Kondrat (Bilawka). Mary was born on September 17, 1924 in Rossburn, Manitoba. She was one of nine children. Mary was predeceased by her parents, Wasyl and Nellie Bilawka; brothers, Bill, Joe, Mike, and Peter; and sisters, Daisey Melnyk and Anne Horobec. She was also predeceased by her husband Ted, and her sons, Ronnie, Peter, and Larry. Mary is survived by her children, Bill (Donna), Leona (Zorian), Liz (Ian), Ernie (Mary), Marlene, Cynthia (Rick), and Iris (Jim) and daughter-in-law Marlene. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Our mother will always be remembered for her compassionate heart, her genuine smile, and her dedication to her family. The family would like to thank Holy Family Home for the care and comfort they provided to our mother in the final years of her life. No words can emphasize the commitment that the staff has shown to our mother and the gratitude we feel for their dedication to her care and well-being. We have never seen such an outpouring of love as they hugged her and said their goodbyes for the final time. Dmytro Dnistrian, CSsR, at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 10 at St. Joseph's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 250 Jefferson Avenue in Winnipeg. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated by Fr. Mykhylo Khomitskyy at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 11 at the Ukrainian Catholic Church of Sts. Volodymyr and Olha in Angusville, MB, followed by interment in St. George Cemetery in Russell, MB.
