CAROL LYNNE WILSON It is with great sadness that we announce Carol's passing on July 6, 2018 at St. Boniface Hospital. She is deeply missed by her beloved husband Rick, her sons, Dean and Mark and the light of her life, her grandson Hayden and of course her puppy Sasha. Carol grew up in Elmwood living on Harbison Avenue for most of her early years. Carol's husband, sons and grandson were her life. She never stopped worrying about them right up to her last days. Carol cherished the time spent at the cottage. She spent many happy hours relaxing on the deck with her family by the chiminea and enjoying the beautiful Lake Manitoba sunsets with Sasha at her feet. Carol, those evenings will never be the same. We would like to thank all the staff in the Concordia Hospital Intensive Care Unit. They treated Carol with dignity, compassion and great care. We would also like to thank nurse Eileen on the third floor who took her under her wing and made her stay there as pleasant as she could. Carol was predeceased by her parents, Herbert and Margaret and her brother Don and brother-in-law Michael and wife Evelyn. Carol is survived by her brother Keith (Kama), brother Lorne (Pat) and sister-in-law Viv. Also surviving, her nephews, Darren (Alison) and family, Kevin and family, Kent (Natasha) and family, Grant (Gaye) and family. Also nieces, Kyra (Ray) and family, Karyn (Reg) and family and Rene and family. Also surviving are brother-in-law Zack, (Emily) and sister-in-law Katherine. Also nephews, Bob (Laurie) and family, Shane, Kevin (Eileen) and family and Jason (Trish) and family, and niece Kristine (Mike) and family. Funeral service will be held Thursday, July 19, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, Winnipeg, MB. A private interment will take place at a later time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • To know and work with Carol was a delight. Everyday we laughed and had a great time. I will always remember such a wonderful lady. My deepest condolences to the family. - Posted by: Debbie Bettencourt Sigfusson (Co-worker at RBC) on: Jul 16, 2018

  • Carol and I became friends in grade 7 at David Thompson and remained good friends throughout high school and then we worked together for about 5 years at Westfair Foods. I'll always remember the good times we shared, especially when we went on vacation and took our first ever flight to visit her aunt and uncle in Toronto and brother Don and family in Sarnia. I have many happy memories of the weekends at Grand Beach and the dances at Chalmers. Carol had a great sense of humor and a contagious laugh. Eventually our lives took a different path and with time and distance we grew apart but the good times we shared were always in my memory and will remain so. She was a good and loyal friend and I feel privileged to have been a part of her life. Wish to extend my sincere condolences to Rick and to Keith. I know you will greatly miss her. You will be in my thoughts and prayers for the difficult days ahead. Sending you hugs, Dina - Posted by: Dina (Moerman) Reid (Friend) on: Jul 14, 2018
