Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEVA CHOMYNEC January 19, 1926 - July 20, 2018 Peacefully on Friday, July 20, 2018 at Holy Family Home, Eva Chomynec passed away at the age of 92. She was born in the village of Monastyrok in Western Ukraine on January 19, 1926. She was predeceased by her loving husband Fred on January 27, 2013. She is survived by her nephew Roman and niece Cynthia and extended family, and by friends and family in Ukraine. The family wishes to thank the staff of Holy Family Home, especially Unit 2A, for the care and comfort they provided to Eva. Funeral Divine Liturgy will be celebrated by Rt. Rev. Msgr. Michael Buyachok at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 26 at Sts. Volodymyr and Olha Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral, 115 McGregor St., followed by interment at All Saints Cemetery. Following the interment, friends and family are invited to a time of fellowship and refreshment at CanadInns Garden City, 2100 McPhillips St. In lieu of flowers, donations in Eva's memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 1379 Kenaston Blvd., Winnipeg, MB R3P 2T5.
