Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryAPRIL LYNN MAKSYMOWYCZ (nee ORNE) April 1, 1950 - July 23, 2018 The family is deeply saddened to announce the passing of April. She was a loving daughter, wife, sister, grandmother, mom, aunty and friend to us all. She died peacefully in her sleep after a short battle with cancer at the young age of 68. She leaves behind her husband Walter, son Clayton (Robbin), granddaughters, Jesse and Shaena, father John (Bev), father-in-law Nick, sisters, Sandy (Bill), Liz (Claudio) and Nancy (Joe), brother Mike (Amanda) and too many loving nieces and nephews to mention. She was predeceased by her mother Lorraine, mother-in-law Anna and brother-in-law Bill. April was adventurous and loved exploring new business opportunities such as apartment building manager, accountant, running her own tanning salon, and later a real estate agent. She was also instrumental in building the foundations of her and Walter's home business. She was full of ideas and opinions and was always open to a "good discussion". April always opened her home to family and friends in need of help with no consideration to her own comfort. A special thanks to niece Kristie from BC for spending the last couple of weeks being April's personal nurse. With her help and medical knowledge, she made April's last remaining days as comfortable as possible and was a mountain of support for Walter. There are no words to express our gratitude for the amount of help that Kristie provided. Another thank you to niece Nikki for going over and above to help out in any capacity that was needed. April was Walter's wife, true love, partner and best friend. Besides Walter, April's greatest love were her granddaughters. As a pillar of the family she leaves a void that cannot be filled and will be greatly missed by all. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main Street with Father Matthew Drury OSBM officiating. Walter and Family, my family and I were deeply saddened to hear the news of April's passing. We so enjoyed your company at our sometimes daily or weekly visits at "work". Our conversations were always a joy and I/we always looked forward to seeing you both, just to catch up. I/we will miss her smiling face and the always gracious "hello". Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time. She will always be with us in our hearts!! Hugs to all, XOXOXO!!
