NADIA DMYTRYSHYN October 13, 1925 - August 13, 2018 Our beloved Mother, Baba and Great-Baba passed away at age 92. She leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her memory, her children, Jean (Mike), Emily and Rick (Sandra); grandchildren, Michael (Amber), Alana (Blaine) and Liette (James) and great-grandchildren, Aidan, Nicolas, McKenna, Kash and Khloe. Mom was born in Czorcze in the province of Volyn, Ukraine to Ignat and Wasylena Chlystyk and was the youngest of three daughters. She was taken from her home as a young teenager and sent to work in Germany's slave labour camps during the Second World War. She met and married Dad in Kassel, Germany and immigrated to Canada in 1948, sponsored by caring relatives (Shura family). Mom was predeceased by our dad Mike in 2008 as well as her parents and sisters in the Ukraine. Many thanks to Dr. P. Connelly and the staff of St. Mary Ward, Holy Family Nursing Home as well as Sandy Slonoski and home care staff for Mom's care. A private family funeral will be held.
