Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFRANCES MURDENA (DEANIE) KERR (nee CONQUERGOOD) With a sense of deep sadness, as well as gratitude for a long life well-lived, we announce the passing of Deanie Kerr, in Des Moines, Washington, on May 6, 2018. Deanie and twin sister Jean were born at the Winnipeg General Hospital, October 27, 1924, and grew up on the farm in Lilyfield, Manitoba. After graduating from Transcona High School and before joining the Canadian Army (CWACs), Deanie worked for the Winnipeg Electric Company. After the war, she worked at Consolidated Motors where she met Wally Kerr. They were married in 1952 and moved first to Idaho and then to Seattle where they settled. Deanie was predeceased by father Murdoch Conquergood, mother Frances Conquergood (nee MacKay), infant brother Thomas, brother Ross Conquergood, sister Flora Green, husband Walter Kerr (1997) and companion Roy Airth (2014). Deanie is survived by daughters Jean Kerr, Sandra Price, Leisa Russell (Brian) and grandchildren, Rebecca Price, Sammy Russell, John Russell and Daniel Russell. She is survived by sisters Wilhelmina Smee, Jean Patterson and Shirley White, and many loving nieces, nephews, family members and friends. There was nobody more fun to be around than Deanie. She was funny, lovingly candid, sweet and salty, and always, always full of life and love. A Celebration of Life was held in Des Moines on May 12, 2018.
