Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN ALEXANDER CARLTON (JACK) KING 1937 - 2018 Peacefully on August 27, 2018, at Oakview Place, Jack King, beloved husband of Carolee, passed away. Jack is survived by his wife Carolee; his son Cameron (Phillippa); and his grandchildren Lauren and Annabel. Jack was born in Winnipeg on May 1, 1937. Carolee was his school mate and his mate for life. Jack was an enthusiastic supporter of the Lord Selkirk Boys Pipe Band, the Burns Club and the St Andrews Society. He loved the outdoors and was often seen walking and cycling near home and afar. Jack enjoyed many trips to New Zealand to share time with his son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren. The family extends a special thank you to the caring staff at Oakview Place. A gathering of friends will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. If family and friends so desire, donations in Jack's name may be made to a charity of your choice. Chapel Lawn Funeral Home 204-885-9715

Carolee, we are so sorry to hear about your loss. I remember with such fondness the fun times you and Jack introduced me to as a beginning teacher and not yet of drinking age! You two were truly meant to be together and I remember your wedding well. Your treasure book of memories will help you face the times ahead,I'm sure. We will be there in spirit on the 4th.
