Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJEANNETTE NOELLIE SABOURIN On August 31, 2018, in a moment of peace and tranquillity, at the age of 94, God called Jeannette home. Jeannette was the most thoughtful, caring and giving daughter, niece, sister, godmother, and aunt. She was predeceased by her parents, Maurice E. Sabourin and Edna Nadon, and siblings, Paul (Frances Porteous), Father Maurice, Rita (Paul Soulodre), Roland (Gloria Johnson) and Henri. Aunt Jeannette will be fondly remembered by her sister-in-law and neighbour Joan (Callan) Sabourin, and many nieces and nephews of the Sabourin, Soulodre families. Compassionate nurse, woman of faith and courage, Jeannette devoted her whole adult life to the caring of others. Her unconditional love for her family, Aunt Jeannette always put the needs of others before her own. Aunt Jeannette took joy in the simple pleasures: working in the yard, riding in a nice, clean car, patting a dog, walking to her favourite banks to check her accounts. Aunt Jeanette was always so appreciative of everything you did for her. She loved to travel and was passionate about her visits to the casinos. Aunt Jeannette was delighted that friends and her nieces and nephews from across Canada, surprised her for her 90th birthday, four years ago. Aunt was able to enjoy a birthday luncheon, a celebratory mass and a supper hosted in her honour. Even a last drive out to Bird Lake, topped the weekend. A special thank you to the staff at Résidence Despins and Actionmarguerite St-Boniface 4abc, for their compassionate care the last few years, after moving from her family home. A celebration of Aunt Jeannette's life with a Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 14, 2018 at the Saint-Boniface Cathedrale, 190 ave de la Cathedrale at 10:15 a.m. Interment will take place at the Saint-Boniface cemetery. Aunt Jeannette assisted with my work on the family tree, I will cherish the many phone calls and meeting with Aunt Jeanette. She has an amazing resource as I worked on the Sabourin family tree. She was always there when I got stuck and became frustrated. She would point me in the right direction and gave me a gentle push. She delighted in new found information and shared the joy of discovery. Her love of our family and our history was very important to her.
