ELDA GIESBRECHT (nee PENNER) September 29, 1923 - September 29, 2018 Our mother, Elda Giesbrecht passed away Saturday, September 29, 2018, at Maplewood Manor, Steinbach, Manitoba. She spent most of her life in the Elma, MB area where she, together with her husband Erwin Giesbrecht, raised their children. Left with fond memories are her four sons: Ken, Clint, Les and Glenna of the Elma area and Ron and Sharon of St. Marys, Ontario; daughters: Fran of Steinbach and Marilyn and Rod Toews of Elma; and her 18 grandchildren. The viewing took place on Monday, October 1, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB. The funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Whitemouth Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, Whitemouth, MB, with the burial following at the church cemetery.
