PETER SKREPETZ October 2, 1925 - October 2, 2018 Sadly, the family announces the peaceful passing of Peter on his 93rd birthday, with family at his side at the St. Boniface Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Frances, his children, Raymond, Christine, Lorraine Sawatzky (Kenneth), Donald and Janet Lagasse (Russell), his brother Steve and brother-in-law Les Gushta (Sandra). He was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Anna, sister Helen Gibson, brother Tony, and sister-in-law Caroline Pruden. Peter grew up on the family farm in Libau, the eldest child. He enjoyed working with large equipment and worked for BACM Construction for 42 years, the last 15 as their Safety Officer. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, and snowmobiling. When he retired he joined the Brokenhead Trail Blazers Snowmobile Club and helped with trail grooming. He was a kind and friendly man and a wonderful husband and father. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 9, at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, with viewing for half an hour before, with Rev. Fr. Greg Mulligan, O.F.M., Cap. officiating. No flowers please, but donations in his honour may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba or a charity of your choice.

My dad & him were great friends they could always relate to a hunting incident & or a fun snowmobile run to camp Kojak. I didn't know your husband all that well...but he would always stop and chat with me for bit when he drove down the street and saw me outside..he was always concerned about how I was doing.
