ANNA (ANNIE) WOELK August 6, 1931 - October 12, 2018 With great sadness we announce the passing of Anna, beloved wife of the late John (David) Woelk, who passed away at Bethania Personal Care Home. She was born in Schoeneberg, Ukraine to Anna (Klassen) and Peter Enns. She moved to Winnipeg in 1949, and was baptized in the North Kildonan Mennonite Brethren Church in 1951. She married John (David) Woelk in 1954, and they had four children: Hedy (John) Falk, David (Jane), Peter (Teresa) and Tim. She was also predeceased by her son Tim, brother Peter and his wife Anne, brothers-in-law, John Penner, Hans Rempel and Jakob Woelk. She will be missed by her eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held on Friday, October 19, 2018 at 11:00 a.m., with viewing prior to the service at the North Kildonan Mennonite Brethren Church, 1315 Gateway Road, Winnipeg, with Pastors Paulhans Funk and Victor Neufeld officiating. Interment will follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Special thanks go to the wonderful care provided at Concordia Village, Misericordia Hospital, Arlington Haus and Bethania Personal Care Home. The family is also grateful to her congregational friends and her relatives for their visits and care for our mother during her journey with dementia. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Bethania Foundation.
