Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryZOFIA LUTRZYKOWSKI August 18, 1930 - October 24, 2018 It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Zofia on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late Leon, to whom she was married for 49 years. Loving mother of John (Krystyna) and Kaz (Lucy). Proud grandmother of Jennifer, Angela (Chris), Alana (Ryan) and Ashley (Adam) and great-grandmother of Fiona. Predeceased by her parents, Anna and Stanislaw, her sisters, Stanislawa and Jadwiga; and brother Ludwik. Zofia was born in Poland and immigrated to Canada in 1961 with her family. After immigrating to Canada, Zofia was employed by Winnipeg Drapery where she worked for 40 years. Zofia took pride and was very meticulous in taking care of her home. After retirement she was able to spend more time gardening and cooking. No one ever left her house hungry as she always insisted you had to eat before leaving. She was a devout Catholic and a long member of Holy Ghost Church. She will be dearly missed by her family as well as numerous nieces and nephews in Canada, USA and Poland. Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Church, 341 Selkirk Ave. Interment to follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery, 4387 Main Street. I offer my sincerest condolences to Kaz, John and their families. Family dinners will never be the same. I often entered Kaz’s home for many special occasions. I always looked forward to seeing Sophie. She always had a smile and greeted you with kind words, hug and a kiss. A truly genuine person has left us to find her eternal rest. God bless. - Posted by: Richard Gasior (Family relative) on: Oct 27, 2018

Mrs. Lutrzykowski, aka Babcia, was a wonderful lady. She loved her family dearly and wanted nothing but the best for them. She was dedicated to them and they, in turn, were dedicated to her. Babcia loved to cook, and it's true, that if you were a visitor at her home you never left hungry. She enjoyed the simple things in life and these largely involved intimate family gatherings and taking pride in a well kept home. She worked very hard over her life and set a great example to her loved ones of a dedicated work ethic and an appreciation for life's most basic gifts. Our lives were enriched to have known her and we wish her family comfort in knowing their beloved Babcia is now resting comfortably in a better place. God Bless. - Posted by: Bill & Careyn Head (Extended Family) on: Oct 27, 2018
