Tante Cora welcomed us into her family the years we lived in Winnipeg. Even though she had more than enough of her own kids and grandkids over for the holidays she always included us with warmth and hospitality. We have fond memories of skating on her pond and eating her banket- the recipe for which she shared with me and I still make for Christmas every year. - Posted by: Melinda Bootsma (niece) on: Nov 17, 2018

I have great memories of everyone piling into the motorboat in Kenora, then having to move to the front of the boat so it would start planing, and going out to spend a week at the island. The fishing and swimming was wonderful. Tante Corrie was always very welcoming to all our family, it didn't matter how many kids there were running around.
