CAMERON EASTMAN September 29, 1976 - November 9, 2018 It is with broken hearts that the family announces the sudden passing of our beloved Cameron Eastman on November 9, 2018, at the age of 42. Cam was so very loved by his family; his mother's side; Yvonne, Graham (Shelly), his father's side; Ron (also best friend) and Anne, Kerri (Stu), Norm (Robin), and his beloved "Person" Jannice Baldwin as well as his two cherished sons, Mathew and Collin. He will be dearly missed by many treasured nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, extended family members, and friends and coworkers. Cameron was raised in East Selkirk with his close knit family. Cameron's passions ranged from fishing trips up by his uncle's, Blue Bombers games with his dad and second mother, training with TK Tae Kwon Do with his closest friends, to just sitting with his mom holding her hand. These experiences paved the way to teach martial arts in both Selkirk and Beausejour, while working at Husky with his partner in crime, and achieving his Business Administration Diploma. Cam then moved on to working at Winnipeg Transit, which challenged him to excel and further his education by obtaining certification in adult education. This enabled him to be promoted from driver to instructor. During this busy time, Cam maintained being the loving and dedicated husband and father to his most loved "Person" and two sons. Cameron insists there to be no flowers. In lieu of flowers, anyone interested is encouraged to make a donation to CancerCare Manitoba. The care, love and understanding they showed us assisting in Cam's fight was truly above and beyond expectation and we are so thankful to them for that. Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 18, at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. In loving memory of Cameron Eastman September 29, 1976 - November 9, 2018

  • I first met Cam at Happy Thought School in East Selkirk in grade 5. We instantly became good friends. Cam always had my back and I had his in class and on the playground. I’ll never forget the morning he called me up and asked if I wanted to go to the bomber game with him and his Dad back in 1987. It was my first ever Bomber game and I was so excited. After grade 12 we grew apart like many friends do after school ends but I have never forgotten all the great memories. Very sad to hear of Cam’s passing. - Posted by: Patrick Phillips (School friend) on: Nov 14, 2018

  • Very sorry to read of Cameron's passing. I was Cameron's Grade Four teacher. What a lovely boy he was. Hard-working, co-operative, out-going and fully engaged with all our classroom activities. I still have the recipe he gave to me of the popular Hallowe'en punch he brought to share at our class party. (Thanks mom). It was quite a job carrying that punch up the back stairs of Happy Thought School. But he was all for it! He was one of those good kids I'll always remember. - Posted by: Cheryl Dann (Cameron'sGrade Four teacher) on: Nov 14, 2018

  • Rest in Peace Cameron. My deepest condolences to your family. - Posted by: Randy Bauschke (Employer / Friend) on: Nov 14, 2018
