Condolences & Memories (8 entries)

  • Eileen, this is a message I was not ready to write. Believe it or not, I had not realized that Werner had passed away some 4 years ago. I'm surprised John Peters did not let me know. Werner (I called him Vern) was the best friend I could have ever had when I worked for Monarch Machinery and he for IBM. I sit here at my computer and recall the wonderful memories. I won't go into them now. Do you remember the trip(s) we made to Questico with the canoe on top of our blue Plymouth? Your Gordie and our Jonathan carrying wood for our camp fire, etc,. etc. I would love to talk to you or exchange emails: jrzach1960@gmail.com or 204-362-0865. Marge and I have been married 62 years as of August 6, 2022. We have 4 children: Cheryl, Ron, Jonathan, and Tanya. They have blessed us with 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren at this point. We live a retired life at 681 South Railway Ave. in Winkler. I am 83, Marge is 82. Marge has had more serious health issues than I have but still carry on with a fairly active life-style. Hope and pray you are doing well as well as your family. God bless you \!!! John and Marge Zacharias - Posted by: John Zacharias (Friend) on: Dec 04, 2022

  • Our parents were close friends for many years. I have been going through our parents’ photos - John & Mary Guenther. I came across: - two of Dianna at her wedding. - several taken December 25, 1980 of Werner & Eileen, Ed & Mary Hiebert and John & Mary, and some of their children with the Luu Family. Werner & Eileen were very supportive to me as a single parent and of my children, Trevor and Tracy. Thinking of you, Judith Guenther - Posted by: Judith Guenther (Friend ) on: Jun 27, 2019
