TADEUSZ SLOWIK It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father and grandfather, Tadeusz on Thursday, December 6, 2018, at the age of 98 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Helen (Alexander) Kryschuk, Christine (Sam) Siwicki, Jeannette (Len) Rosolowich; son Ted (Candice) Slowik; and his four grandchildren, Jeanine, Kristen, Andrew and Ava. Also left to mourn his passing is extended family in Poland. Tadeusz was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Maria, in 2002; his parents, and all of his siblings. Tadeusz was born in Rzeszow, Poland on January 1, 1920 and immigrated to Canada in 1948. He held various jobs before he started with C.P. Rail Weston Shops and worked as a Carman up until his retirement. Dad was active and hardworking his entire life. At the age of 97, he still managed to plant and tend to his large vegetable garden, planted flowers, cut his grass and cleared snow from his walkway. He took much pride in his independence given his age and felt very blessed to have his longevity. He was a gentle man with a generous heart, ready to lend a helping hand to his children when needed. Dad was a devout Catholic and a longtime member of Holy Ghost Parish. We thank God for the many wonderful years we had with our dad. He will remain forever in our hearts. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Units 5 and 7, 3rd floor of the Seven Oaks Hospital for their compassionate care. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, December 11 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 12 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Church, 341 Selkirk Avenue with an Oblate Father officiating. Interment to follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery, 4387 Main Street. "Wieczny Odpoczynek Racz Mu Dac Panie"
