LISA ANN JUNE FABIG (nee KOLTESKI) July 1, 1962 - December 16, 2018 With family by her side, Lisa passed away peacefully in her sleep after a courageous five year battle with cancer. With Christmas being her favourite holiday, it is only fitting that she would want to be remembered at this time of year. She leaves her strength in her husband Cliff, and her sons, Adam (Rachel) and Daniel. Also left to cherish her memory are her two sisters, Diana and Cathy, two brothers, Adam Jr. (Diane) and Larry, parents-in-law, Manfred and Marianne Fabig, and sister-in-law Michelle. Predeceased by her parents, Adam Sr. (1972) and Carol (2005) Kolteski, and her brother-in-law Paul (2015). Lisa was born and raised in Winnipeg, and attended Garden City Collegiate. Until her diagnosis in 2013, she worked in the executive office of the Gauthier Automotive Group. The family expresses their sincerest gratitude to the doctors and nurses at CancerCare Manitoba, and the doctors, nurses and staff at the Riverview Health Centre Palliative Care Unit 3 East. You are all very special people, thank you. Respecting Lisa's wish cremation has already taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, December 20, at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. In lieu of flowers, donations to CancerCare Manitoba or the Riverview Health Centre Foundation would be appreciated.

Condolences & Memories (9 entries)

  • Just found out on Facebook this morning of Lisa’s passing. We were best friends for a long time till I moved to Ottawa. We were in each other’s wedding parties. We kept in touch for awhile after I moved then distance and life got in the way. I reached out to her on my last trip home and had a little visit with her..sadly my last. My deepest sympathy to you Cliff, the boys and the rest of the family. She was a loving, warm and funny girl! - Posted by: Cathy Cove Zubricki (Friend) on: Jul 15, 2020

  • I had no idea Lisa had passed. I am so very sorry for your loss. We met Lisa while my mom was selling Avon, her and Cliff lived on Timberwood Trail. I would sit at the kitchen table with them as they talked for hours, playing with whatever I had brought with me that day. I had wanted to let Lisa know of my mom's passing just this past Monday. I was so very sad to see that Lisa had passed. Mum would have wanted to know that. Lisa meant so much to her. I'm glad though that she is now at peace. - Posted by: Elizabeth Ruf (Friend) on: Jun 26, 2019

  • Lisa was the most dynamic woman I have known. I met Lisa when Adam and my son were in kindergarten together. She lived for her husband and children. They were her priorities; always. She was a role model for all wives and mothers. I always wanted to hear her opinions, she was a wise lady. You fought so hard and for so long friend, it is time to rest in peace.... - Posted by: Donna McDonald (Friend) on: Dec 18, 2018
