AUGUSTA (GUSSIE) NATALIE HEMMINGER On Tuesday, January 8, 2019, Augusta (Gussie) Hemminger passed away peacefully at home, at the age of 96 years. Gussie was born April 4, 1922, in Thalberg, MB. She leaves to mourn her sisters, Pauline Brewin and Lynda Kalupar, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Herman and Rosina; brothers, Herman, Christian, Joseph, August, and Albert; and sister Holdina Mohr. Gussie had a zest for adventure. She moved to Winnipeg as a young woman and then her travels took her to Toronto, Bermuda, and San Francisco, before retiring and moving back to Winnipeg. Gussie always had a strong faith and a great love for her family. She spent many hours capturing memories with her video camera at every family gathering. Funeral service will be held on Monday, January 14 at 11:00 a.m. at Thalberg Trinity Lutheran Church with viewing one hour prior to the service. Pastor Daren Gallivan will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. They family would like to thank the staff at Lion's Personal Care Home for the care they provided Gussie these last few years. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gussie's memory may be made to Thalberg Trinity Lutheran Church or a charity of your choice.
