Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPAMELA ANN TUBMAN January 3, 1972 January 8, 2019 Pamela Ann Tubman passed peacefully on Janaury 8, 2019, at the age of 47, after a long battle with cancer. She leaves to mourn her son, Ellx; partner, Harold Schmidt; her dad, Lorne; and sisters, Ramona, Tammy and Tanya. She was a fun loving auntie to her niece, Zariah; nephews, Jared, Zander and Zayden; as well as to her friend's children who were just as special to her. She also leaves to mourn numerous friends and relatives. She was hilarious to be around and could always make you laugh, even using humour to deal with her illness. Pam loved music, festivals, football, her flower garden and especially being at the cabin hanging out with her friends. The cabin was at Lake of the Woods and was her favourite place to be. During her illness, she would drive all way to Winnipeg for her treatments and, like a trooper, rush to get back to her favourite place. She was creative and artistic. This was apparent in her work as an interior painter and for the theatre, scenic painter and prop builder. She was full of energy and life. She would do anything for those she loved but also wasn't afraid to tell you off. Always strong and brave, she was defiant until the end, going out to see family and friends as recently as her birthday on January 3. Your fight is over and we know you're with mom now. We will love you forever, Rest in peace. A celebration of her life will be held at the Cambridge Hotel, 1022 Pembina Hwy., on Saturday, January 12, at 3:30 p.m. Friends who so desire may make donations to Riverview Health Centre. We were neighbours a very long time ago, back when being a kid was not such a danger to play outside. The times spent having water fights, playing in the “elephant” , tag in the park and enjoying our childhood the best we could not just with the Tubman family, but all the kids on our block are some of my best memories. As crazy as this reads, I still think of them whenever I hear the Irish Rovers. Today in particular for no reason in particular I had a thought of Pam and Ramona, did what many of us do...used the internet. And came across this sad news. Rest In Peace Pamela; your giant smile when you were a wee squirt was infectious and telling of the sweetheart within. To the Tubman family, my sincere condolences. - Posted by: James Tait (Neighbours ) on: Apr 23, 2019

I have known Pam for about 16 years, At times she has been my employee, my boss, my co-worker, my teacher, my student, my drinking buddy, my companion on long road trips and for strolls around festivals. At all times she was, and forever will be, my friend. - Posted by: Keith Miller (Friend) on: Jan 14, 2019

My condolences to the family. Pam will truly be missed. Pam was such an amazing soul. She always had a smile on her face and I really enjoyed being her long time friend. When ever I would come to visit in Winnipeg, she would always made sure that we connected. We shared a lot of history growing up, getting into mischief but always knew we would survive. Ha ha. I'm sure a lot of our old friends would remember those times. Pam, whenever I think of you, I will always have a smile on my face and remember all the good times we had together. You will be truly missed. Love Always, Tina - Posted by: Tina Torres (Friend) on: Jan 12, 2019

Pam was my first real and true love! We did a lot together throughout the 90’s. She was fierce, talented, competitive, compassionate, loving, and funny as hell! She was also very much a thrill seeker. We did Canada’s Wonderland together where she couldn’t get enough of those roller coasters. We spent time in New Orleans where I have memories that will stay with me forever. She loved camping as well as the multiple folk festivals we attended. I wish I was there to celebrate her life with all of her friends, family and loved ones. Big love and hugs to Ellx. Sleep well sweet woman I will miss you xoxo Jim - Posted by: Jim Murphy (Dearest of friends ) on: Jan 12, 2019

Pamela, You will be missed tremendously, my friend. My heart is broken but I know it was time for you to be with your beautiful mom. We had so many amazing times! I want to thank you, Pam as you were the first person I told that I was pregnant and 20 years old. You had already had Ellx and you laughed and gave me a hug while I cried because I was so scared but you said, “you keep this baby and we’ll be young mothers together.” I thank you for this everyday because I have the most loving son today. I will remember all our crazy shenanigans, sneaking out your bedroom just to go hang out at Mac’s, or all the good times at Carrie’s or your lake. I will miss playing the card game, Sets, which you taught me and I nearly kicked your butt a few times. Mostly, I will miss your humor! No matter what, you could have me in tears, laughing at whatever you were saying, even at your last days you had me laughing. That was you! Right to the end, strong, loving and funny! You asked Glen and I to take your beloved dog, Molly. I will take care of her as you did and be sure to provide your family time with her at anytime. I love you, Pamela! Forever in my heart ❤️ To the family and her loving partner, Harold, I am sorry for the loss of this beautiful woman. Cherish all those memories you each had with her and her spirit will forever be with each and every one of you. Love Ton (Pam used to call me that) - Posted by: Tonya Field (Friend ) on: Jan 12, 2019
