WILLIAM (BILL) TAIT
Born: Mar 30, 1948
Date of Passing: Jan 19, 2019
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM (BILL) TAIT March 30, 1948 - January 19, 2019 Peacefully during the morning of January 19, 2019 Bill Tait passed away. Leaving us as a father, spouse, uncle, brother, papa and friend, Bill's passing has left a void that will not easily be filled. Bill lived a life passionate about food, drink, people, and the world. He encouraged and lived a life relishing opportunities to learn, try new things, and make people smile. If he could get a smile or a laugh out of a perfect stranger that would not only make his day but as family and friends you would hear about it later. Always willing to question, Bill enjoyed living the life of a non-conformist that was always willing to challenge a status quo and at the same time show unwavering loyalty and love for family and friends. At this time, he would want for us to remember the good times, continue to learn, grow, try new things and at the very least do our best to "carry on as if we were normal" without him. A come and go celebration of Bill's life will take place Saturday, February 16, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at 29 Beaver Crescent, Steinbach, MB. The family would like to thank the Heritage Life Personal Care Home in Niverville and will be forever grateful for the care and support Bill received while in their care. Donations can be made in Bill's name at https://alzheimer.ca/ Arrangements by Birchwood Funeral Chapel 1-888-454-1030 or 1-204-346-1030

Bill was often outrageous and will be remembered for the unique and interesting things he said. He was accepting of people whose ideas and lifestyles were very different from his own. He took pleasure in diversity. He enjoyed the company of people and could always be counted on to bring levity to any conversation. Bill lives on in the hearts of the many people whose lives he touched, in particular his family. Wherever you are, Bill, I am sure you are having fun! - Posted by: Sharon Muz (sister in law) on: Feb 06, 2019

Bill exploded into our family almost 40 years ago and changed us all. He delighted us with his wit, edginess, and hilarious nicknames & one liners. My recently departed dad was "the rev" (he was a pastor). He was always loyal and so supportive of me as a teenager. He was the first one to tell me to stand up for myself and not let people walk all over me. I spent hours with him in garages accompanying on his smoke breaks, and those were such great times. My heart is with my sister Lucy and my niece and nephew Kendra and Gareth. I will miss you Bill you had a unique place in this world and there is nobody like you. ❤️ - Posted by: Pamela Groening (Sister-in-law) on: Feb 05, 2019

Bill taught me alot about the electrical field. We worked up north together on a crew and I had the time of my life. He taught me how to really laugh and enjoy life. He was a great man and I will miss him. Daryl W Michaluk - Posted by: Daryl Michaluk (Former co-worker) on: Jan 27, 2019

Bill was always a great friend to my Dad, Russ Routledge, through Hydro. Sitting and listening to my Dad & Bill kibitz about their times together was hilarious. Being to hold my own against his banter was a source of pride to me. Bill was larger than life; and now will be the largest star in the sky looking down on us. My condolences to all his family & those who were fortunate to share memories with him. - Posted by: Sandra Thorsteinson (Daughter of Bill’s friend Russ Routledge ) on: Jan 26, 2019
