EVELYN WILMA KRENTZ (GRIENKE) June 3, 1931 - February 7, 2019 Evelyn Krentz, aged 87, of Steinbach, MB, passed away on Thursday, February 7, 2019, at Bethesda Regional Health Centre, Steinbach, MB. She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Brian, Kurtis (Jennifer), Sheldon (Hélène) and Bradley; five grandchildren: Tabrina, Jayden, Amber, Daphne and Brielle; two great-grandchildren: Jocelin and Jeni. She is also survived by her siblings, Norman Grienke and Cheryl (Ron) Andres, sister-in-law Katarina Grienke and their families. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 59 years, Arthur, son Daryl, brother Edwin Grienke, and sister-in-law Sandra Grienke. Evelyn was born June 3, 1931 to Carl and Pauline Grienke. On September 28, 1951 Evelyn married Arthur Krentz. They bought Art's family farm where they raised their sons, were involved in dairy farming, gardening and where Evelyn spent the remaining years of her life. The farm has now been in the family for the past 128 years. Evelyn loved being in the kitchen, cooking for friends and family and spent many years working at the Friedensfeld Community Centre. She was an avid gardener, enjoyed square dancing and spending time with her family and friends. We love you and will forever cherish the many fond memories you have left us with. The funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Steinbach, MB with burial at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, R.M. of Hanover, MB. The viewing will be held on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 162 PTH 52W, Steinbach, MB and at the church one hour prior to the service. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 465 Henry St., Steinbach, MB with burial to follow.
