EMMA DRANEZ Emma Johanna Dranez (Wienhold) peacefully passed away February 17, 2019, in her home with her loving family by her side. Born June 9, 1939, in the village of Schöneberg, Westpreussen, Danzig. She was predeceased by her parents, Gertrude and Erich Wienhold, sisters Christel, Edeltraut Hahlweg and daughter Susanna Dranez Vrsnik. She leaves to mourn her husband Frank Dranez, of 60 years, daughter Doris (John) Furtado, grandsons Johnathan (Dawn), Christopher (Courtney) and James. Precious great-grandchildren, Shae and Daxen; son David (Cindy) Dranez, grandsons Justin and Chase; son-in-law Philip Vrsnik and step-grandchildren, Lauren and Mark. Celebration of Life will be held at Abundant Life Lutheran Church, 3486 Raleigh St., East Saint Paul, on Friday, February 22, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Annemarie MacIntosh officiating, interment will be held at Brookside Cemetery after the service. Thank you to the Palliative Care Program for assisting us to fulfill mom's wishes to be at home. Special thank you to Dr. Shell for her exceptional compassionate care given to Emma and support provided to the family. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations in her memory may be made to a charity of your choice.

  • Phil and I will have a void in our hearts for Emma leaving this earth. Emma, you were a good woman. You were simply the best. Thank you for loving me and treating me like a daughter.
