My sincere condolences to Gabby’s family and friends. I first met Gabby in 1986 at a job interview for the first community economic development officer for the French-speaking municipalities in southeastern Manitoba, part of the Eastman Regional Development Corporation. After I landed the job, Gabby was one of a small number of elected officials that I worked closely with and also had the pleasure of having him serve on the ERDC Board of Directors. Gabby always inspired me to be the best that I can be and to not take myself too seriously. He always had a joke at the ready to make me and others laugh, and he was a very effective advocate for the rural communities he represented as their elected official. Gabby had an impact on me early on in my career and I often thought about him, especially his contagious smile and laugh. That will be my lasting memory of him. - Posted by: Charles Gauthier (Former employee and friend ) on: Feb 20, 2019
