My deepest condolences to Colette and family. I had the extreme pleasure of working with Moe in the insurance industry. His smile was like a ray of sunshine. He was like an uncle to me, a dear friend and I like so many others will miss him dearly. - Posted by: Paul Dubé (Friend ) on: Mar 09, 2019

Our deepest sympathies to you Collette and your family. Moe was a very kind man with a great sense of humour. We are so sorry for your loss. He passed way too young. He will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Tony and Marjorie Guertin - Posted by: Tony and Marjorie Guertin (Friends) on: Mar 08, 2019

I played hockey with Moe, back in the 1980s when we were on the St. Boniface Select old timers, Sam Tascona league. Hell of a hockey player, had my house insurance with him. Brings back a lot of great memories with him on the ice. Being a goalie, I really appreciated him, because Moe always back checked on & off the ice. My deepest sympathy to his family, gone too soon!! My deepest condolences, Russ Galagan - Posted by: Russ Galagan (Old hockey player St. Boniface Selects from the good old days) on: Mar 05, 2019

Mon meilleur ami depuis 65 ans. Quel vide je ressens. A huge void that I cannot fill. - Posted by: Raymond Fisette (Friend and cousin) on: Mar 05, 2019

Maurice was my best friend & neigbour during my teenage and young adult years. We did everything together: first cigarettes, first beers, first double dates...did a lot of sports with him: hockey, football, soccer, swiming, wrestling, bowling and what more...first appartment together in the city, driving back from La Broquerie to Winnipeg on Sunday nights at 100 miles/hr, summer job together selling newspaper subscriptions all across Manitoba and Saskatchewan. Did not see him too often after moving in Montreal, but every time we got together, it was like we separated the night before. Maurice was a great guy, a very refined sense of humour, respectful, generous, always ready to help everybody. My deepest sympathy to the whole Balcaen family...especially to twin sister Yvette. - Posted by: Louis Dubé (Friend) on: Mar 05, 2019
