ALLISON THERESA PETERS September 18, 1958 - March 18, 2019 It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Allison Theresa Peters, on March 18, 2019, at the Health Sciences Centre, after lengthy illness. Allison was predeceased by her parents, Alex and Elsie Peters, as well as many aunts and uncles on both sides of the family. She will be deeply missed by her sister Joanne Peters, her brother-in-law Michael Dudar, and Michael's sister Janice Koverzin. Also left to remember Allison are Janice's children, Kim and Mark; her aunt and uncle, Guyla and Sam Smilski; her cousins, Reese Smilski (Daria Romaniuk) and their children, Gregory and Melanie; Robert Smilski (Sandra), and their children, Danielle and Caden; her cousin, Nancy Korn and her children, Jacquie and Michael. In accordance with Allison's wishes, a private family funeral service and burial were held earlier this week. Joanne and Michael wish to thank the many dedicated healthcare professionals who cared for Allison in so many ways. These include the staff of the Hemodialysis Unit at Health Sciences Centre, Lodge 6 West at Deer Lodge Centre, and finally, the Coronary Care Unit of the Health Sciences Centre. In lieu of flowers, we request that you honour Allison's memory with donations to the Deer Lodge Foundation, the Health Sciences Foundation, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Kidney Foundation of Canada, or a health care charity of your choice. Finally, please support medical research and transplantation programs, by registering your intention through Transplant Manitoba's "Gift of Life" registry, at signupforlife.ca and by signing a donor card. Memory Eternal!
