Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • My sincere condolences to Linda and the rest of the family. Ernie was a great guy, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. - Posted by: Curt Newman (Family friend) on: Apr 10, 2019

  • I am a first cousin of Ernie’s Mother-in-law, Evelyn Doyle. She and Linda visited with my brother and me the last time they came to Nova Scotia. On behalf of my family I want to extend our deepest condolences to Linda, Evelyn, and all of their families and friends. May it help to know that we share your loss from afar, and will be thinking of you. - Posted by: Homer Charles Noble (Nova Scotia cousin) on: Apr 06, 2019

  • A cactophile of the first order, Ernie created many unique hybrids of cacti that will live on forever. Whenever we see them we will remember his passion and his creativity. Through his hybrids he will live on forever. He was a very sensitive guy who had a deep love for his wife Linda, his children and his siblings. Ernie had a great sense of humour. He loved music and dancing and excelled in painting. Throughout the years, any time we were together we’d play the old tunes - Aretha Franklin being one of our favourite artists. When we were young we explored forests, took ballroom dancing lessons together and embarked on many adventures. One of our happiest childhood memories was visiting our Uncle Bill and Aunt Peggy and cousins Jim, Craig and Allen and their girlfriends at their summer cottage. We had many outdoor adventures together as adults, exploring South and North Dakota, The Grand Canyon, Grasslands National Park as well as many others. But the last adventure together in Arizona this past January was one I will never forget. I miss you Broski but you’ll forever be in my heart. Till we meet again. Love you, mean it! - Posted by: Charlotte Brown (Sister ) on: Mar 30, 2019
