NELLIE DOMBROWSKI On March 26, 2019, Nellie passed away at the age of 95. To remember her life she leaves her son Ray (Linda) Donald;, two daughters, Pat (Jim) Ryan and Janice (Richard) Munroe; grandchildren, Craig (Trista), Ian (Carrie), Jennifer (Christopher), Tracy (Denis), James (Roxane), Melissa (Casey), Garrett (Vera), Taylor; great-grandchildren, Cassidy, Logan, Delana, Owen, Harper, Alexis, Kaden, Winston, Bianca. Mom was married for 60 years and predeceased by her husband Joe in 2006. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Stan, Charlie; and sisters, Jessie, Anne, Helen and Elizabeth. Mom often mentioned she was the last surviving member of her family. Nellie was first and foremost a loving Mom and wonderful homemaker. She was renowned for her excellent baking skills and loved to entertain. Nellie was an avid and successful bingo player and loved doing crossword puzzles and keeping up with current events in the daily newspaper. Nellie and Joe were thankful for the winters they spent in Florida. A thank you to the home care workers and a very special and heartfelt thank you to the staff at Bethania Mennonite Personal Care home for their loving care given to Mom. Visitation will be held at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Avenue on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at 12:30 p.m., with the Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery, 4387 Main Street. If friends should desire, donations may be made to Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, Bethania Mennonite Personal Care Home or the Heart & Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice. She will be forever in our hearts.

  • My sincere condolences to all of Nellie’s family. She was a great support helping Janice and Dick when Garett and Taylor were youngsters.
