Not withstanding that I have been living in Alberta with my daughter for the past 2 years, I heard about the unfortunate passing of my old friend Rudy Powell, and deeply regret that I was not close by to participate in the celebration of his life. I have always considered his friendship very special because of his enduring loyalty as a friend and colleague. I shall miss him dearly and may he rest in peace. There wasn't a day that we didn't see Rudy walking down Thackeray to head for his bus. We would pick him up on his way by if we were heading out and drop him off at his chosen stop (Superstore, Walmart, Dentist, Polo Park). Rudy shared his memories with us on these short trips. His life in Jamaica, his children, working in car sales and he always had a kind word for all. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time. He was a lovely person. - Posted by: Paula Tanasychuk (Neighbour) on: Apr 05, 2019
