  • We are so sad & shocked to hear of Edith’s passing. Edith was one of the most kind, genuine, sweet ladies we’ve ever met & we enjoyed seeing her at Betty & Ron’s family celebrations. We know this is a very sad & difficult time for all & we hope the precious memories you have will get you through the sad days. - Posted by: Barry & Rachel Hudson (Friend) on: Apr 19, 2019

  • I was so sorry to hear of Edie's passing. I have enough memories to fill a book, thinking about them now makes me smile and laugh. I know she is up there now, reuniting with friends and family, and figuring out which of her special recipes to share. Pretty sure we met at our fav watering hole, where I regularly was the DD back to the nurse's residence here in Dryden. We have kept in touch since she moved back to Winnipeg, and I have been lucky enough to travel with her; have met and enjoyed the company of many of her friends and family there. Please accept my condolences to all of you, in her loss. Her smile, her overly kind and giving personality, all of which have been mentioned. RIP my "sister". Love and hugs to all.......Diane. - Posted by: Diane Kameda (Friend) on: Apr 15, 2019

  • So sorry to hear of Edith’s passing. Edith was one of the best nurse’s ever in Dryden. She was such a sweetheart. When my Stephen and I would come to Winnipeg we would call and edith’s Mom and her would meet us for dinner usually at Red Lbster. I think Edith was everyone’s friend. She cared so much for everyone. Her passing has taken a piece of my heart. Edith was such a giving person and she will be missed by everyone. My thoughts are with all the family. So very very sorry. • I have to second what my brother Glen said. Even though we were fully grown adults when our parents passed, Edith was their to give us special attention. I will always remember the March dinners where she always had the Christmas tree up because she was having people over for Christmas dinners for that long :). She is one of the kindest and loving people people I know in her personal life and her work as a nurse. - Posted by: Larry Harder (cousin) on: Apr 14, 2019

  • I am so saddened by this news. Edie was my 'Buddy' when I first started nursing at Children's Hospital (CK-3). Edie taught me so much and was an awesome nurse. She was truly the most genuine, kindest, reliable person there was. She was always there for me and others. Her smile would truly make your day. I am grateful for our friendship and will miss our phone conversations. R.I.P. my friend. You will be missed. - Posted by: Nettie Girden (Friend / Co-worker) on: Apr 14, 2019

  • Betty Ann. I’m so sorry to hear of Edith’s passing. She was a very kind and loving person. I will miss our little visits. Rest In Peace Edith. 💖 - Posted by: Kathy Newcombe White (Friend) on: Apr 13, 2019

  • Edith was my favorite cousin; in fact I would go out on a limb and say she was everyone's favorite cousin...and we come from a large family. She was our Mother Teresa, always caring, never judging. She would have my brother and I over for dinners, she made the best meals and we always got a care package when we left. Truly the kindest most generous person I know. Edith, I love you and miss you. May you rest in peace my dear cousin. Glen - Posted by: Glen Harder (Cousin) on: Apr 13, 2019
