EDWARD WAYNE TOEWS
March 1, 1943 - April 17, 2019

Edward Wayne Toews passed into the arms of his Creator on April 17, 2019, at the Concordia Hospital.
He leaves to mourn his wife of over 54 years, Helene (nee Hecht); children, Ebonie (Henry) Klassen, Raina Ardies (friend John), and Edward Vincent Toews (friend Heidi); grandchildren, Kayla, Charlee, Cullen (wife Chelsey), Georgee and Calder; siblings, Helen-Ann Jackson (Rick), Pamela MacDonald (Spence), and David Toews (Carol); and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father Benno Toews, and mother Katherine Toews (nee Reimer).
A celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the North Kildonan Mennonite Brethren Church, 1315 Gateway Road, with viewing prior to the service.
The family would like to thank the caring staff on the third floor of the Concordia Hospital (you know who you are), as well as the many relatives and friends who supported us during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

  • My sincere condolences to the Toews family. Along with being such a cool cat :) , he was my favorite physical ed teacher of all time. I attended W.P.C (1984-1987/88).
