LINA ALICE WESTERGARD
(nee LAURIN)
1919 - 2019

Lina passed away on April 17, 2019, at the age of 99.
Lina was predeceased by her loving husband Jack (A.H.) in 2016.
She is survived by her loved daughter Shirlie Maracle, of Winnipeg; her loved grandsons, Jeffrey Halfdanson (Jen), of Winnipeg, Michael Halfdanson (Kathy), of Winnipeg; great-grandchildren, Melissa and Trent, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and many good friends.
Lina was predeceased by her mother Blanche Laurin (nee Ward) in 1971, father Leon Laurin in 1975, her brother Eugene Laurin in 1970, sister-in-law Cecile Laurin in 1968, sister Rosa Normandeau, brother-in-law Noe Normandeau, brother Joseph Laurin, sister Jeanne Grey-Noble and brother-in-law Jack Grey-Noble.
Lina was born in Dufresne, Manitoba in 1919, the youngest of six children. She moved to Winnipeg at an early age, where she met and married her husband Jack. They were married February 18, 1939, and spent 77 happy years together until his passing. They enjoyed many winter holidays in Florida where they made many good friends.
As a special request by Lina, cremation has taken place and there will be no memorial service. Lina will be laid to rest with her mother Blanche Laurin at a private family interment at Green Acres Cemetery.
