It is with sadness we announce the sudden passing of Arthur Shiro Watanabe on April 9, 2019 at the age of 67 years.
He will be sadly missed by his siblings, Lily (Kanao) Yamamoto, Donna (Mac) Yamamoto, Rita Hill, Ken Watanabe, and Alice Kinoshita, Gerry Watanabe (Ita), Joan Watanabe, Henry Watanabe and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and their families. Arthur was predeceased by his parents, Naochi and Kiyoko; brothers-in-law, Gord Kinoshita and Ed Hill; and sister-in-law Heather Watanabe.
Arthur received his certificate in Power Engineering from Red River Community College, and retired from Manitoba Hydro.
A celebration of Arthur's life will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at Green Acres Funeral Home.
Donations may be made in Arthur's memory to a charity of your choosing.

Arthur was my best friend growing up in Norwood he lived across the street from me. Arthur was a great athlete and I always admired him and looked up to him because of that.
