DEBORAH ELLEN ULLRICH
(nee LEVIN)

On May 1, 2019, after a long and courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis, peacefully at Seven Oaks General Hospital (SOGH), Debbie passed away.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving and devoted husband Bill, her two sons, Brandyn (Rhea) and Rustyn (Sherry), and many grandchildren.
She was a gift from God, a true treasure. Her wisdom, strength and caring nature made all who knew her, richer for it. Whether it was through meeting her at Sears, where she was a successful salesperson for more than 25 years, or through school or sports events, or in other social settings, to have met Debbie was to be greeted with a smile, a joke, and to be left walking away feeling better about your day. To know her was to be treated like family, with all the love and generosity that one could ever hope for.
Her family wishes to thank a number of people whose support and compassion always meant the world to her - her sister Penny, cousin Andrea and her family, Kris, Barbara, Luda, Angela and Kathy, Claire, Don and Debbie. A special thank you to the staff, nurses and doctors at SOGH for their professional and comforting care.
A celebration of Debbie's life will take place on Thursday, May 23, 2019, at 1:00 p.m., at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, Manitoba Lung Association, the Salvation Army or Smile Canada.

"Into His arms you go not alone, a piece
of each of our hearts go with you..."

Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • Bill, Rustyn and Brandyn, I’m so sorry for your loss. Debbie was an incredibly kind woman, and always made me feel like I was part of her family. It’s hard to believe it’s been more than 20 years since I last saw her, but I remember her sincere words and laughter like it was yesterday. - Posted by: Jarrod Stevens (Friend) on: May 10, 2021

  • Dear Bill, Rusty, and Randy, We have recently heard of Debbie’s passing - so very sorry for your loss. We extend our most sincere condolences at this time of sadness. Debbie was a very good friend to me and my family and we will always treasure the memories of our time spent together when our children were young. She was a a true treasure as a friend and I so appreciated her friendship and caring. I have regrets for not keeping in touch with all of you when we both moved away from Hiddleston Crescent, but as you all know, life got in the way. With love and friendship, Don, Sonja and family (Auntie Sonja to the boys) - Posted by: Sonja Minty (Friend) on: Jun 18, 2019

  • Bill, Brandyn and Rustyn - my deepest sympathy.... My memories of time spent playing cards with Bill and Debbie are precious. Debbie was a most excellent hostess and lots of laughs and great fun. And time spent with the boys when they were younger - it's hard to believe how much time has gone by since we've been together. Love to you all.... - Posted by: Laura Isbister (friend) on: May 18, 2019
