(nee ZAPP)
She will be sadly missed by her sister-in-law Belinda Zapp; nieces, Karen Zapp (Curtis Cross), Lynette Zapp (Gregory Hickaway) and Diane Zapp (Jeff Case); and nephew Walter Nider.
Elsie was predeceased by her beloved husband of 50 years, Gregory; her parents, Anne and Peter Zapp; and brothers, Ernie and Ted Zapp.
Born and educated in Winnipeg, Elsie worked as a legal secretary her entire career, retiring from a position with the Manitoba Law Society. Elsie was an active lady who had many friends and enjoyed life to the fullest. Summers were spent in Grand Marais, where she adopted her special friend "Smokey", who came second, only to Gregory, while winters were reserved for sunny Hawaii.
In keeping with Elsie's wishes, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society or Rossbrook House.
Special thanks to Dr. C. Duprat and all the members of palliative home care team.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 7 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Parish, 264 Donwood Drive, with Fr. Arockiadoss Savurimuthu, OFM Cap officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery.

Received the information of Elsie’s passing from Phyllis Slobodian Gehle as her friend in Winnipeg had called her. I called my cousin John Bowden and Richard Sokulsky.
