Mom was born in Sarto, Manitoba on March 10, 1915.
Mom is survived by her two daughters, Marilyn (Boris) Nazarewich and Nadia (Lanyon) Lind; grandchildren, Tanis (Cam) Bennet, Donna (Craig) Waslenko, Cathy (Dean) Gatin, Theresa (Chris) Vlachos; great- grandchildren, Tanner and Alexa Bennet, Kiara Waslenko, Hillary and Cassidy Gatin, Christina (Octavio) Santos, Doug (Stephanie) Vlachos; great-great-grandchildren, Eva, Chloe, and Adriano Santos; also, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Anne was predeceased by husband Paul, father Anthony Rekrut in 1916, mother, Ksenia; husbands, Michael Kowalchuk, and Hryhory Block; brother Fred Rekrut; sisters, Sonia Pelleck and Olga Krepakevich.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, June 3 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel at 1442 Main Street with interment to follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens with Father Alexander Harkavyi officiating.
Pallbearers will be Tanis Bennet, Donna Waslenko, Cathy Gatin, Chris Vlachos, Octavio Santos, and Doug Vlachos.
Flowers gratefully declined, if friends so desire, memorial donations may be made in Anne's memory to the LUBOV Foundation- Holy Family Home, 1085 Main Street, Winnipeg, MB R2W 3S1.
