ALICE ZDRIL
(nee HEILAND)
June 8, 1931 - May 28, 2019

Passed away peacefully May 28, 2019, at the Charleswood Care Centre in Winnipeg, just a week prior to her 88th birthday.
She was predeceased by her husband Samuel. Leaving to mourn her memory are her daughter Carol (Larry); and sons, David (Barbara), Grant and Roger. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Alice retired from IGA after a long career. She was the last surviving child of 13 born to Catherine and George Heiland which included Fredrick (died as a toddler), George, Andrew, Barbara, Eleanor, Rosemary, Elizabeth, Doreen, Regina, Richard, Gordon and Frederick. To know them all was to love them all for their humour and time together which often consisted of a game of cards. Alice was no exception. She had a love for swimming, gardening and her dogs. Above all she enjoyed a good laugh, sometimes at her own expense but often times, it was reminiscing about family.
Respecting her wishes, cremation has taken place and a service will follow at Green Acres Funeral Home, Highway #1 East at Navin Road on Friday, June 14, 2019 at 10:00 a.m.
Flowers gratefully declined. If wishing to make a donation in Alice's memory, please consider the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, or the Winnipeg Humane Society.
The family would like to thank the staff at Charleswood Care Center, St. Boniface Hospital and Michelle with Dr. Sikora's office for their compassion with Alice's care.
