Condolences & Memories (9 entries)

  • Barry and I met with Pearl and Barry every couple of months to play RUMMY Q. Pearl was very competitive and said every "she wasn't going home until she won a game." We had lots of laughs and good times with them. Before we played, Pearl would tell us the latest stories about the Grandchildren - she was so proud of them their parents. We miss her a lot and her wonderful laugh and stories. Barry & Barb Birch (Friends) - Posted by: Barry and Barb Birch (Friends) on: Dec 30, 2019

  • I met Pearl through her husband Barry back in the NPG Days (approx. 2004) Barry often spoke about Pearl during the work day at the office as she truly was the "apple of his eye"! Pearl would come by from time to time and visit with Barry and the office staff at NPG. Pearl always packed Barry amazing lunches and took good care of him. They were a beautiful team. I was very saddened to hear about Pearl's illness and I am very sorry to hear of her passing on June 12th. My condolences to Barry, Jennifer (Bob) + Michael (Sahoko) and the grandkids on the passing of someone very special. - Posted by: Ann Krawchuk (Friend and Former Co-worker ) on: Aug 28, 2019

  • Both Sue and I know how tough it is to lose a friend. When Barry called me during that time with the news of her illness, we were devastated but hopeful. She was a super individual when her and Barry and first met. I was there when they were married. What a great couple when they got married. Barry as always, you know you can call me anytime. We know you will miss her, but realize she is in a great place and no pain! Keith & Sue - Posted by: Keith McGhee (Great friend with Barry for 58 years) on: Aug 06, 2019

  • Always enjoyed our Canasta battles with Pearl and Marlene against Barry and I. She was truly a fierce competitor. We are going to miss those fun filled get-togethers. Marlene and Pearl seemed to hit it off from the moment they met, as they just 'clicked' with each other. She was a great lady, and a great friend. So sorry about her passing. • Dear Barry & Family, so sorry to hear of Pear's passing. She was the light of the room with her big smile. Remembering the gatherings at Christmas and the DRG breakfast mornings, she was the shining light that radiated the whole room. She was always ready to show her photos of her children and grandchildren and how proud she was of them. Keeping you in our thoughts and prayers. • Pearl was a beautiful, kind + gentle lady. I have so memories of her from years gone by...helping her get her driver's license, working hard at doing her clothing parties with such great success or having a relaxing evening playing cards with our husbands. Those are just a few of the memories, I cherish about Pearl. I am sad that she is no longer with us but happy, she is at peace. Love ya - Posted by: Kathy McGhee (Friend) on: Jun 18, 2019
