ALBERT ADAMKOWICZ
Albert will be sadly missed by his wife of 57 years, Helena, daughter Elizabeth, son Mark (Barbara) and granddaughters, Amy and Sarah, as well a numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Albert was born in Poland and immigrated to Canada in 1959. He worked at Bristol Aerospace for over 30 years as a machinist and worked hard in all aspects of his life. There was nothing Albert couldn't build or fix and was always willing to help out a friend with his trusty skillsaw and hammer.
Albert's greatest joy in life was his family. With the onset of dementia in late 2016, his memories began to fade, but the one thing that would not relent was his love and pride of his granddaughters. His love was undeniable, and he enjoyed nothing more than to sit back quietly and watch the girls, with a big smile on his face.
Dziadziu, we will miss you. You were an exemplary husband, father and grandfather who instilled in us strong family values, a strong work ethic and the importance of a good education. You worked hard to provide for us and for that we will be forever grateful.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Avenue on Friday, June 21, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. with an Oblate Father officiating. Viewing will be held one half-hour before the Mass beginning at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10-120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2.
