PATRICK DOUGLAS PERRY
December 5, 1954 - June 18, 2019
He will be forever missed by his three sisters and families, Sharon and Doug Hensel, niece Tanis (Markku), daughters, Allyssa and Hanna, nephew Allan, daughter Kristina, Elaine and Peter Cox, Val and Brian Cutts, nieces, Amber (Duane), sons, Cameron and Trevor, Victoria (Kris), son Jori.
Patrick loved his family unconditionally and always looked forward to his time spent with them. He flew to Calgary and later Halifax, as well as Thunder Bay to visit Elaine and Sharon every year. His love for travel took him to Mexico and Cuba and many summer trips with his friends from his group home, camping in the Boler with Val and Brian was always fun too. Christmas was his favourite time of year, with his family.
Patrick was very fortunate to have a second family at his group home on Augusta and previously Wordsworth Way. His care workers provided a caring and safe atmosphere. He was always happy to return to his home and would shout out "I'm Home".
Patrick enjoyed music, especially Country and Western. He was a fan of Johnny Cash and would sing and play his guitar along with the songs. He identified with his cowboy hero John Wayne, which led to his love of horses and riding.
Patrick's family would like to thank all of his Winnserv care workers who always showed him love, kindness and respect, which has been greatly appreciated. We would also like to thank the nurses, doctors and health care aides at the St. Boniface Hospital.
Memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 23, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy. #1 East at Navin Road, Winnipeg.

Patrick was a wonderful member of Rainbow Walk at Westwood Presbyterian Church for several years. He always had a smile on his face and we enjoyed listening to him play the guitar.
