JOSE MARIANO DE MEDEIROS MOREIRA
May 7, 1946 - June 25, 2019

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, José Mariano Moreira on June 25, 2019, at the age of 73, at St. Boniface Hospital.
José will be sadly missed by his wife Maria Angelina, children, Ricardo (Nelia), Sandra and Grace; grandchildren, Vanessa, Joshua, Amber and Kianna; brothers, Antonio (Eduarda) and Eduardo (Teresinha); sister Lurdes (Jaime); brothers-in-law, Carlos (Maria Jose), José (Venilde), Antonio (Filomena) and Manuel (Mariazinha); sisters-in-law, Madalena (Porfirio), Sara (José), Conçeicao, Deodata, as well as numerous nephews, nieces, godchildren and friends.
José was predeceased by his first wife, the mother of his children, Lucia, parents, Mariano and Lauriana Moreira, in-laws, José and Maria Oliveira and José and Angelina Correia, and brothers-in-law, Tomaz Oliveira and Julio Correia.
The family extends their most heartfelt thanks to the health-care professionals and staff from Seven Oaks CancerCare, Grace Hospital, as well as St. Boniface Hospital for the great care and kindness they showed Dad. We also want to thank all our family and friends for all their visits, support and love towards Dad.
Prayers will be said on Friday, June 28 at 7:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Parish, 181 Austin St. N. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 29 at 10:00 a.m. also at the parish with Rev. Fr. Andre Lico and Rev. Fr. Tiago Coloni officiating. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Jose's family would appreciate donations made to CancerCare Manitoba or a charity of your choice in Jose's memory.
