HELENE FROESE
(nee BERGEN)

It is with a mixture of sadness and joy that we announce the passing of Helene, aged 78 years, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, who went to be with the Lord on July 22, 2019. Helene's mental health had been slowly declining for the past three years, but her physical health declined rapidly during the last three months.
She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband of 54 years, Jakob, her children, Richard (Tess) and Linda, and three grandsons, Marc, Tyler and Ryan. Helene also is survived by two brothers, Heinrich Bergen (Frida) and George, two sisters, Maria Dyck and Tina Thiessen, and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her parents, Jakob and Justina Bergen and one brother Jakob.
Mom was always kind-hearted and would constantly volunteer her time to church projects, the MCC Thrift Store, and Donwood Manor.
We are very grateful for the exceptional care she was given in Donwood Manor during her last days.
The Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, July 29, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the North Kildonan Mennonite Brethren Church, 1315 Gateway Road, Winnipeg, with viewing prior to the service. Interment will follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
