BEATRICE E. UKENA
May 16, 1934 - January 6, 2019
Beatrice taught school as a permit teacher in Fannystelle, Manitoba, served as a nurse's aide at Winnipeg General Hospital and then worked as a teller at the Bank of Montreal in Winnipeg, where she found that her skills with numbers made her invaluable to others. Beatrice will be remembered for supporting her children's interest in sports and for her generosity. She was a Girl Guide leader and supporter of private education.
Beatrice is survived by three children, Raymond Mirreault, Suzanne Tataryn and David Mirreault and their children, numerous nieces and nephews, as well as her sister Dorothy (Borislaw) Bilash.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service and interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 2, 2019 at Green Acres Funeral Home, Winnipeg.
