July 10, 1931 - August 4, 2019
Marlene will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her husband Nicolas; sons, Mark (Debbie) of Morden, Manitoba, and Paul (Rae); grandchildren, Jessica and Paul James of Beamsville, Ontario; and her sister Nancy Silk of Winnipeg. Marlene was predeceased by her two sisters, Lucy and Joan of Anaheim, California.
Marlene was a loving and compassionate person. She was always happy and smiling and was respected by her friends and acquaintances.
Marlene was employed at McLeods head office on Ellice Avenue, in Winnipeg when she was single. After marriage she finished her career working at Timothy Eatons Co., at Polo Park.
Marlene was a loving mother who always made time for her family and friends. She was compassionate, positive and forgiving. She always put her children ahead of herself and will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her kind and loving ways.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 13 at 1:00 p.m., in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave. at Henderson Highway. Interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
In tears we saw you sinking,
We watched you fade away,
You suffered much in silence,
You fought so hard to stay.

Hard working hands at rest,
God broke our hearts to prove to us
