HARRY UNRAU
September 7, 1924 - August 9, 2019

Harry Unrau, 94, originally from Hanley, SK, passed away peacefully in his sleep Friday, August 9, 2019 at Bethania Care Home in Winnipeg, MB.
Harry was predeceased by parents, Jacob and Katharina (Klassen) Unrau and by parents-in-law, Jacob and Aganetha (Andres) Brown.
Predeceased by brothers, John (Anne) and Walter (Helen), brothers-in-law, Henry Nickel (Tina) and Ben Thiessen (Hilda) and sister-in-law Anne (John). He is survived by his spouse of 64 years, Leonora (Brown); sons, Gerry and Debbie (Bueckert) and Ed and Tannis (Walde); grandchildren, Amanda (Tyler Shendruk), Matthew, Sarah Unrau (Mackenzie Fast) and Amy (Nolan Bartels); great-grandchildren, Finnegan and Solomon Fast. He will also be remembered by his sister Tina Nickel, and sisters-in-law, Helen Unrau and Hilda Thiessen.
Viewing Thursday, August 15 at 7:00 p.m. and funeral Friday, August 16 at 11:00 a.m. will be held at Friends Funeral Chapel, 2146 Main St., Winnipeg, MB. The service will be followed by a lunch and a time of remembering. Private family interment will take place prior to the service at Brookside Cemetery, Winnipeg, MB.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to MCC Canada, Westgate Mennonite Collegiate or Rosthern Junior College.

Harry will be missed by many, as a quiet, humble, caring, gentle man with laughter in his eyes.
