Condolences & Memories (14 entries)

  • Worked with Terry at Air Canada many years ago. She was always up beat and happy. I am sorry for your loss. - Posted by: Charlotte Stairs (Friend) on: Aug 20, 2019

  • There is so much more to say about Terry! As the Advisor for Letitia Theta Rho, she was a mentor and friend to all those that had the pleasure of interacting with her. The amazing marching, and flag drills that she created left Letitia as number 1 always. We would shine at the "sessions" at the International Inn Ballroom every March. She gave "everything" to the lodge, as many girls will remember! We waited with anticipation for the meetings, which were only twice a month. To me she was a fun, kind hearted person! Letitia and Terry created memories that can not be forgotten! She was one of those people that you believe will be there forever. RIP - Posted by: Kendra Haight (Hominick) (Theta Rho girl and friend) on: Aug 20, 2019

  • I'm sad we didn't keep in touch more often, as we always said we would. Will cherish the many memories of our adventures and fun times together, Greece with the girls, Hawaii, London and many more in Winnipeg when we were roomies. Rest in peace my friend. Love Sam. - Posted by: Sonya (Sam) (Friend and co-worker) on: Aug 20, 2019

  • I am so so sorry for the loss of Auntie Terry. She was a one of a kind woman who was there for quite a few of us girls. You will be very missed Terry. Heaven did truly receive another Angel. My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of this wonderful woman. - Posted by: Dana (Kwiatek) Gordon (Friend) on: Aug 20, 2019

  • Way too soon, cousin. You were full of life and touched so many people, many of which I'm learning about reading the comments here. I've always been in Toronto - you in Winnipeg. So I guess I just don't know how really and truly amazing you were, But I do know how cool you were. I always thought you were the coolest in the family. I'm the coolest now, I guess, lol. Gonna miss reading your Facebook posts and sending you my band videos. Love ya cousin. You'll always be the coolest. Ken - Posted by: Ken 14 Adderson (Cousin) on: Aug 20, 2019

  • Both Judy and I are in shock and heartbroken barely describes how we feel. We were back in Winnipeg for a wedding just weeks ago... saw Terry every day we were there and she was her usual chatty, bubbly self. Terry has been an important part of our life for over 60 years - more like a sister than the closest of friends to Judy - Aunty Terry to our kids - she was family. I'm writing this because Judy can't find the words to express what Terry meant to her - six decades and thousands of miles between them and they stayed as close as when they were teenagers - the truest of friends. She will be missed, but never forgotten. - Posted by: Dan Campbell (Friend) on: Aug 19, 2019

  • Well Terry, you left me some awesome shoes to fill. You always said I was your protege to be the noisy, laughing, speak it as you see it, next in line. You weren’t supposed to go yet. I wish we had seen more of each other. That’s always what happens, I suppose when people leave us. Regret not spending enough time. I think of you and smile. You have left a hole in our family that no one will fill. Family gathering tomorrow won’t be the same. I will make you proud. I will say good bye for now and see you on the other side down the road. I give you a hug, lady bug. Heather (Alice Leah’s daughter) - Posted by: Heather Nickel (Cousin) on: Aug 19, 2019

  • I met Terry in the 70’s bowling at Academy lanes. What a time we had. We had the greatest pot lucks and Terry would always make her meatballs which everyone loved. We lost touch over the years but through her friend Jan that I was working with we reconnected and had some fun lunches and dinners these past few years. I will miss Terry and will always think of her whenever I’m in a bowling alley, making her meatballs or eating at Red Lobster which she loved. - Posted by: Birdie Kozyra (Blank) (Friend) on: Aug 19, 2019

  • Our condolences to the family on the sudden passing of Terry. She was a great friend and we had lots of fun times together. Unfortunately cannot make it to the service but we will be there in spirit. Rest in Peace Terry. - Posted by: Tony and Maureen (Longtime friend from grade school) on: Aug 17, 2019

  • iangworsley @gmail.com I was very shocked and saddened by Terry's untimely passing. She was a very happy and up-beat person and was fun to be around. Once or twice a year she would organize a cousins' lunch where we could get together and catch up on one another's lives. My sister and I looked forward to seeing everyone on these occasions. Terry was the family historian and she knew how we all fit into the family tree. Rest in peace, Terry. Love, Lynne Eisner and Gail Edwards - Posted by: Lynne Eisner (Cousin) on: Aug 17, 2019

  • First view of Terry was in church... me in the choir; she coming up the aisle noisy and laughing...about 13 years old I think. English accent which she didn’t keep for long. We were neighbors and she and Maureen often followed me home pestering me. She helped me get into trouble several times. She was such a flirt. I think we were supposed to marry. I know her mother thought so. RIP Terry, you will always have a big chunk of my heart in your care. Thank you. - Posted by: Bruce Pearson (Friend; early boyfriend) on: Aug 17, 2019
